In a study published in the Journal of Human Nutritionand Dietetics, researchers found that adding one to two glasses of water consumption can reduce calorie intake. For this study, researchers analyzed
data on food consumption of 18 311 adults who took part in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 2005 to 2012.
"In adults who consume 30 percent more water, about 4 cups, they consume 8.58 calories, 0.74 grams of sugar, 9.8 mg sodium,and 0.88 grams of fat a little more," said one researcher, as quoted Ruopeng An Newser, Friday (2016/03/04).
According to An, little additional water intake can reduce the amount of calories, sugar, sodium, and fat significantly. In addition, this study also found when someone adding a portion of water two or three glasses, they consume 205 calories,18 grams of sugar, 235 mg of sodium and 21 grams of fat less.
